Introduction to Electromagnetic Theory and the Physics of Conducting Solids
by C. J. Papachristou
Publisher: Hellenic Naval Academy 2017
Number of pages: 221
Description:
The purpose of this sophomore-level textbook is twofold: to introduce the student to classical electrodynamics and, at the same time, explain in simple terms the quantum theory of conducting substances. The presentation sacrifices mathematical detail in favor of pedagogigal efficiency. The theory of vector fields is briefly presented in a separate chapter, aiding the student to cope with the mathematical challenges of Maxwell's theory.
